This was a tough one. I can think of many people/things that have made a big impact on me and I'm sure Tyler can as well. When we first discussed this question, we thought of our parents, exceptionally cool leaders/teachers we've had, family members whom we consider to be heroic, etc..., but finding an answer to this question that reprsented both of us landed us here:
A pretty obvious answer if I do say so myself. It's hard to sum up something that comprises so many different levels of who we are, but I'll give it my best shot. In a nutshell:
The knowledge we have because of our faith in the gospel principles taught in our church have helped us become who we are today. Our beliefs inspire our actions and our outlooks on life, which in turn has a HUGE impact on who we are. We are so thankful and will forever be thankful, for the blessings we receive on a daily basis from a loving Heavenly Father who somehow overlooks our faults and provides us with lives that are rich in true, lasting happiness.
It's so comforting to know that no matter where we go and regardless of what happens in our lives, that knowledge will always be with us and will help carry us through anything. We have a lot of room for improvement, but feel so blessed to be able to draw in strength from testimonies in a wonderful church that has taught us much about who we are and what we're capable of.
